We are one of only a handful of audio companies who manufacture their own raw wire. From the selection of precious metal casting shot, to drawing of the wire, to polishing and gold plating all fabrication stays in our family’s hands. Because of this we keep the cost of manufacturing down and can experiment with new wire styles without the huge cost of large minimum orders. Silver/Copper Alloy
The starter in our lineup, this wire has a sonic character that is a blend of copper smoothness along with a bit more open character due to the addition of silver. Musical and involving this wire will open up your listening experience on modest systems that are often times held back from sonic splendor by cheap interconnects and ancillary wiring. This wire is available as interconnects, turntable interconnects, tonearm wire, digital interconnects, and HDMI cables.
99.990%+ and 99.999% pure silver
99.990% + Pure Silver Our 99.990% + wire is the bridge between the Silver/Copper alloy wire and the 99.999% Pure Silver wire. It offers that pure silver sound at a very reasonable price. The signature of this wire is open transparency and musicality without glare or harshness. The difference between the 99.990%+ wire and the 99.999% Pure Silver wire is ultimate smoothness across the audio spectrum the 99.999% Pure Silver offers. The 99.990% + Pure Silver wire comes within 20% of the sonics of the 99.999% Pure Silver version.
99.999% Pure Silver The 99.999% Pure Silver wire offers the sound purity, smoothness, and transparency one would expect from an excellent quality silver wire. I often describe this wires sonic character as the “Kimber Kable KCAG “ sound. Almost everyone is familiar with the sound of that interconnect, this wire has that same quality. The first time you here this wire it is a revelation. Depending on your equipment this wire offers a look “into” your recordings. Using this wire a beautiful depth of image is revealed along with outside the speaker imaging.

This is a really special wire we developed and introduced in 2005. The wire is a combination of Silver, Copper, and Gold. ( some have asked... no, this is NOT gold-filled jewelry wire, that wire is made of brass and has a gold overlay). The percentage of each metal used in the wire was determined regarding its particular and unique conductivity. The combination of all three metals in our percentage of distribution has a better sound than any of the single metals alone...if you know the sonic signature of our 99.999% (5n) Pure silver wire you know how clean, open and transparent it is, with no hint of glare or brightness. Now, the Gold Alloy wire has that same sonic character but reveals even more low-level detail. Bass is more powerful and has a naturally rounded character, the mids and top end are more liquid and stand out in an almost three dimensional relief. This wire is special in that it has a beautiful "musical flow, pace, and rhythm" that many other wires miss. One would think that using Gold would obscure the sound or slow it down but the Gold Alloy wire is probably our most neutral wire, it will portray what the signature of your equipment was designed to sound like. To use a visual description look up “ white opal” and “black opal” on the internet, as beautiful a gemstone as the white opal is, the black opal has this powerful almost hypnotic look...a deep dark background with a rainbow of color that stands out. I consider the Gold Alloy wire to be the Black Opal of wire. Because of the revealing detail, the soundstage height, width and depth is just breathtaking, and all of this emerges from an even blacker background the 99.999% (5n) Pure Silver wire is known for. Listening to this wire for the first time took me aback.. more of the music and all of it’s nuances were just there.

What makes this wire different from the round Cryo Gold Alloy is that it’s dimensions are approx. a 20ga. wire wide and a 29ga. wire thick. Almost like having two wires in one...20ga. for super bass and mids and 29ga. For smooth extended highs. People have described this wire as our round 24ga. Cryo Gold Alloy wire on steroids, it just seems to do everything a little bit better. This wire is used in our Cryo Gold Alloy Sonnet-R interconnect

DeepSpace Cryo Gold Alloy Wire with Graphene or The
Disappearing Wire Act
The DeepSpace Cryo Gold Alloy with Graphene (henceforth known as DeepSpace wire) takes up where the Cryo Gold Alloy wire leaves off, literally. After a 150 - 200 hour break-in with the Cryo Gold Alloy wire, the same sonic character is heard with the Deep Space wire at first use without break-in. This is the first new wire we have introduced since the Cryo Gold Alloy wire was unveiled in 2003. The DeepSpace wire idea started out as a kind of "what if" project.
99.999% Pure Silver and 24kt Gold
Knowing how the original Cryo Gold Alloy turned out by using three metals Silver, Copper, and Gold we modified that idea and upped the game by removing all the Copper (or reducing it to an absolute negligible amount) using only 99.999% Pure Silver and adding a higher percentage of 24kt Gold, smelting those two metals together and drawing the result into wire form. Ironically, the Pure Silver and 24kt Gold blend did not sound as musical as our Cryo Gold Alloy wire. The sound was close, but not like the original Cryo Gold Alloy wire with Copper in the mix. We even changed the percentage of Gold to possibly make up for the subtraction of Copper, it just was not as musical, however it had a signature that had a purity and clarity (better than even our Cryo Gold Alloy wire) that could not be ignored. As a hobby I cook and also am a bread baker, when preparing a recipe leaving out or substituting an ingredient, even the smallest amount, can totally change the flavor profile. I consider the designing of a wire a recipe that needs to be tweaked to bring out it's best. We decided we were on the right track but something had to be done to make this new wire perform as we wanted. After experimenting with different coatings and metal blends we decided to try something REALLY new, this epiphany was 18 months in the making. The result: Graphene. Step One complete, onto Step Two. Graphene
Enter Graphene, what is it? Here is a description paraphrased from "Explain That Stuff" I found the article by Chris Woodford to be the most informative without bogging one down with too much technical info. Graphene is an amazingly pure substance based on Carbon, thanks largely to its simple, orderly structure based on tight, regular, atomic bonding, Carbon is a nonmetal, so you might expect graphene to be one too. In fact, it behaves much more like a metal. If the 20th century was the age of plastics, the 21st century seems set to become the age of graphene. Science journals have been running out of superlatives for this wondrous stuff: it's just about the lightest, strongest, thinnest, best heat- and electricity- conducting material ever discovered. Peer inside lots of familiar solid materials (including most metals like our Silver and Gold used in our drawn wire) and you'll find what's known as a crystal lattice (another name for a solid's internal, crystalline structure): lots of atoms arranged in a regular, endlessly repeating, three-dimensional structure a bit like an atomic climbing frame, only instead of bars there are invisible bonds between the atoms that hold them together. The remarkable thing about graphene is that its crystalline structure is two-dimensional. In other words, the atoms in graphene are laid out flat, like billiard balls on a table. Each layer is made of hexagonal "rings" of carbon (like lots of benzene rings connected together, only with more carbon atoms replacing the hydrogen atoms around the edge), giving a honeycomb-like appearance. Since the layers themselves are just one atom high, you'd need a stack of about three million of these layers to make graphene 1mm thick!
Graphene Electrical Characteristics
Materials that conduct heat very well also conduct electricity well, because both processes transport energy using electrons. The flat, hexagonal lattice of graphene offers relatively little resistance to electrons, which zip through it quickly and easily, carrying electricity better than even superb conductors such as copper and almost as well as superconductors (unlike superconductors, which need to be cooled to low temperatures, graphene's remarkable conductivity works even at room temperature). Scientifically speaking, we could say that the electrons in graphene have a longer mean free path than they have in any other material in other words, they can go further without crashing into things or otherwise being interrupted, which is what causes electrical resistance.
Putting This To Practical Use
At the time of this writing (May 2016) Graphene is still very expensive. Retail price is about USD 300.00 per gram or USD 8400.00 for one ounce. The good news is Graphene powder or in our case flake (or platelets which are similar to sheets), goes a very long way. As a coating for example using our 32.4ga. tonearm wire, one ounce of Graphene will coat thousands of feet of wire. The Deep Space wire finalized is a product that consists of 99.999% Pure Silver, 24kt. Gold blended and drawn then coated with Graphene platelets at a thickness of approximately 5 monolayers thick. Over the Graphene is a plating of 24kt. Gold.
The Sound
As good as the Cryo Gold Alloy wire is, and it is very good. Many people who have purchased the Cryo Gold Alloy in bulk form, tonearm wire sets, and interconnects call it their new reference. The DeepSpace wire is something TOTALLY different, I know the Graphene is responsible as the final ingredient in the recipe but, and this is hard for me to admit, I don't know what it is doing. As Chris Woodford writes, Carbon is a nonmetal, so you might expect graphene to be one too. In fact, it behaves much more like a metal (though the way it conducts electricity is very different), and that's led some scientists to describe it as a semimetal or a semiconductor (a material mid-way between a conductor and an insulator)so is the Graphene being super conductive and transparent, or is it adding some sort of strange resistance we don't even understand yet to the DeepSpace wire? Whatever it's doing is working. The wire takes about 150 - 200 hours of break-in but when that's over you have a conductor that performs a disappearing act and just gets out of the way.

Besides being an electrical conductor all wires have something else in common, the quality of the wire is only as good as the quality of the connection. In audio applications this is of utmost importance. Soldering with a good quality solder is my preferred method, but to achieve a great connection the wire needs to be placed directly on the piece it is being soldered to with no space gaps. Even the best solder is only meant to adhere two items together for strength and long term reliability, solder was never meant to be a pure conductor. In May 2016 I purchased a laser spot welder to connect my wires to their respective items before finalizing the connection with solder, before that I used a miniature spot arc welder for the purpose. The arc welder worked well except before soldering I would need to clean all the connections due to metal splatter. The laser welder uses a Nd-YAG crystal and operates at a wavelength of 1064nm. Power output is 60 watts (adjustable) and the beam size is also adjustable from 0.2 mm to 1.0 mm by changing lenses. To assist in centering the weld spot a purple 440nm targeting laser with an adjustable beam spot of approx. 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm in diameter is used. The welding laser is focused at the center of the targeting laser. The picture shown is our phono cartridge connector (to show size) the purple spot is the targeting laser, in real life the spot is not as large, the ipad I used to take the picture shows more light than is seen by the naked eye. Off to the left in the circle are two laser spots, the first one was full power and actually punched a hole thru the paper the next spot was minimum power and hardly made a burn spot on the paper. The laser in actual use only produces a very quiet " tick, tick, tick " when it is spot welding. The connections are solid enough to solder to with minimum effort...I love the outcome.

The interconnect is constructed using our custom made 23 ga.(0.573mm) stranded Silver/Copper Alloy wire.
The interconnect consists of 80 strands of 42ga. (0.063mm) wire per signal leg. Those legs are then surrounded in a 100% copper braid. This wire is made for us to our specs in Germany by the same company that makes our Silver/Copper Alloy digital interconnect wire. The wire is sent to us in bulk and terminated here in the mountains of North Carolina with either the Cardas GRMO Rhodium /Gold RCA's or the Neutrik XLR ends.
The sound profile of the Silver/Copper Alloy wire is the smoothness of copper with natural open detail that silver offers. The difference in sound compared to our 99.990% Pure Silver Sonnet II interconnect is that the Pure Silver interconnect offers more low level detail and ambiance retrieval. Long story short this cable offers the best balance between cost and performance as do all of our products. Simple, pure, and just plain great I think you'll really love these!

You are looking at our Silver/Copper Alloy Phono Link. The Phono Link is constructed using our custom made 23 ga.(0.573mm) stranded Silver/Copper Alloy wire. The 100% coverage ground braid is floating and is COMPLETELY electrically isolated from the signal wires. The connectors are the Cardas DIN and Cardas rhodium RCA ends. At the DIN plug side the wire is flexible and may be bent at a 90 degree angle if need be.

As you’ve read above all of our wire is manufactured by my brother-in-law’s company, however with the Digital cables we had to source from the outside. The problem arose not in the wire manufacturing but in the stranded wire construction, shielding and jacket manufacturing. Years ago while at a manufacturing convention, my brother-in-law met a gentleman who owns a design and wire manufacturing company near Hemer, Germany from that time many years ago they have become close friends. Like my brother-in-law, his company is small and they produce wire runs for medical ( Siemens, Philips) and aerospace & avionics (Airbus, Thales, etc) Long story short, I was put into contact with Horst and he and his company made my Digital interconnect wire a reality thanks to my family connections. I wanted to design a cable that was affordable, high-quality and obviously sounded good, or more accurately carried the digital signal from transmitter to receiver in an accurate manner. After 18 months we decided on a Silver-Copper Alloy for its conductivity and cost effectiveness. Two separate products resulted. The product you are looking at now is the USB digital interconnect. The wire is sent to us unterminated and we assemble the finished cable here in the mountains of North Carolina. Here are some notable features:

TOTALLY neutral with a beautiful "musical flow, pace, and rhythm" that many other wires miss. The advantage of designing a no holds barred product like the DeepSpace Waveguide interconnect is in the process certain points in the design can be evaluated to produce another product at a reduced price point. With the Cryo Gold Alloy Waveguide interconnect we started by using a non custom waveguide tube that is uniform in size from end to end rather than the custom tapered tube design of the DeepSpace waveguide. Replacing the DeepSpace wire with our Cryo Gold Alloy wire reduced the cost of the wire alone by 75%. Replacing the Carbon impregnated end to end heat shrink with standard heatsink and placing a grounding connection at only the destination end of the Cryo Gold Alloy Waveguide interconnect further reduced cost of parts and labor.
The sound and presentation of this interconnect comes, I would say within 80% of the four times more expensive DeepSpace Waveguide. Where the Cryo Gold Alloy Waveguide falls slightly short is in the frequency extension and natural open smoothness that the DeepSpace version possesses.

You are looking at our DeepSpace Gold Alloy with Graphene Rectangular solid core wire it is approx. 20ga. wide and 29ga. thick. (0.81mm X 0.28mm) The wire is used in our DeepSpace Waveguide interconnect and has been used as internal hookup wire. The wire is offered in 1 inch (25.4 mm ) increments. I've chosen small increments since many people only need 5 or 6 inches for example as rewire for pre or amp inputs. When using for power supplies this wire is an electrical equal to a solid core 24ga (.51 mm) diameter wire.
